Mike is a Columbus, Indiana native that became interested in photography as a high school yearbook photographer. With a love of travel and the great outdoors and inspired by the natural beauty of nature, Mike’s photography quickly moved from the school to the out of doors. In 1998 Mike founded Mike Briner Photography and started his professional career as a travel and nature photographer. Mike now has well over 55,000 film as well as over 20,000 digital images in his library.
Mike’s images have been published in many books, nation wide calendars, and magazines as well as on greeting cards, postcards and posters. His clients include, Audubon Calendars, Disabled American Veterans, Endless Vacation Magazine, Reiman Publications (Birds & Bloom, Country, Country Extra, Farm & Ranch, Country Woman), L.A. Times Travel Section, Horse Illustrated, Outdoor Life, American Hunter, Travel America, Texas Highways, The Daily Word, ,Browntrout Calendars, The Time Factory Calendars, MeadWestvaco Calendars, American GeoGraphics, AAA Guide Books, Life Magazine. Mike also won a Bronze Award through (IRMA) International Regional Magazine Association, for an image published in the April 2002 Texas Highways “Wildflower Fields Forever”.
